Valentine's Day Picnic at Delta Park

What better way to celebrate the day of love, Valentine's Day by having a picnic with your loved ones  in the park? Unfortunately v-day has become extremely commercialised, thus costing a fortune to go out and do something special. Even picnic's can cost up to R750!

So we decided to create our own picnic experience! We packed a picnic of cold meats and cheese, some wine and juice and off we went to Delta Park. The day turned out to be a stunner, plenty of rays, green grass and plenty furry visitors. While on our picnic I made a few new fur friends and thought I would share some of the pics I snapped of them with you. Let me know what you think.

Delta Park is not only a dog friendly park, but it is also the home of the weekly Parkrun event. So if you feel like stretching your legs and spending some quality time with your pups, go check it out.

Talk about being active. I had the pleasure of meeting this amazing rescue, an American Pitbull (aka Red Nose Pitbull) that absolutely loves water! This 8-year-old ball of muscle was rescued from a fighting ring when he was 1-years-old and was patiently trained by his loving owner Jeff.

Oh the bliss of nature and our furry friends! Hope to meet some of your pups soon! If you have some great pics of your pets that you want to share, please send them to [email protected] and we will post them on Instagram.

Tail wags, woofs and purrs,
