Dogs

• – Matted or tangled coat
• – Persistent odour between baths
• – Dark or waxy discharge in ears

Cats

• – Greasy, matted or clumped fur
• – Smelly or dirty ears

• – Neglecting self-grooming (often signals illness)

Coat & Brush Care

Regular brushing removes dead hair, distributes natural oils and keeps the skin healthy. Short-coated breeds benefit from a rubber curry brush; long-coated breeds need a slicker brush and detangling spray to prevent mats.

Ear & Eye Care

Ears should be cleaned monthly with a vet-approved solution — never with cotton buds. Floppy-eared breeds need more frequent checks. Eye discharge should be gently wiped daily using a damp cloth or eye wipes.

Nail & Paw Care

Overgrown nails cause pain and change how your pet walks. Trim every 3–4 weeks with sharp pet clippers. Check paw pads for cracks, especially in summer — paw balm prevents drying and cracking on hot surfaces.
