How long do the effects of CBD last?
- The effects of CBD can last anywhere from 4-8 hours. This will depend on a number of things including the size of the dose, your pet's unique digestion system, food eaten that day, severity of your pet's symptoms, and other factors.
- CBD lasts longer in dogs than cats as they have a faster metabolism. Cats generally keep CBD in their system for around 3-4 hours, while dogs can last up to 8 hours.

Worked really well for our dog's nose
We struggled to find something for our Staffie's dry nose that worked long term, and this worked like a charm. I see a lot of people mention the product is hard. I've found that rubbing your finger on the cream to get some heat into the product works well. You can also put the closed container in a glass of hot water for a minute if you really struggle with it.

Difficult to use
The balm smells great, but is literally impossible to apply. The product is hard and unyielding, and even when heated with a hairdryer reverts to solid within seconds. Unfortunately I have found this product unusable.

Constructive criticism
I ordered one jar of the Gizzls Boops, Skin & Paws CBD Balm - 50ml. Trying to apply this product is very difficult because it is very hard. One must use a sharp spoon or similar to get some balm out of the jar. Perhaps if a softening ingredient could be added (lanolin?) it may be easier to get out and apply to your pet's paw/nose or where it needs to be applied. - Response From The Manufacturer: Gizzls CBD Balm is designed to provide a protective barrier on the skin. The harder consistency helps in creating a long-lasting layer that can protect and lock in moisture, making it ideal for targeted areas such as noses, paws and dry patches. A way to make the balm easier to work with, would be to either rub it between the hands and heat it up to soften it before application or to pop the balm jar in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it prior to use. In winter, with the colder weather, the balm will naturally be harder than in summer when the weather is warmer. I also intentionally created a balm instead of a cream or lotion as it's a cleaner, more sustainable product. Unless the lotion or cream is oil-free, it would require an emulsifying agent to homogenize the product (since oil and water don't naturally bind). I am currently looking at ways to make the balm slightly softer, without compromising the integrity of the product.

Really worked on my dogs nose
My very senior JR had a very dry crusty nose, side effect of some medication she was temporarily on. I put on.4 x daily and nose is perfect again. Great to find a natural product for their skin
