Active Ingredients: Imidacloprid 10% % Moxidectin 2.5%
Dosage: 0.1ml/kg bodyweight Advocate dog solution.
Directions for Use:
- Place the applicator tip through the animals hair to the skin level
- For dogs up to 25kg, apply to skin on back between the shoulder blades
- For dogs over 25kg apply in divided doses between the shoulder blades, on the back between the hips, and one point in between
Spot on applicators are portioned based on the pets weight:
- Small dogs & puppies up to 4 kg - 1 tube from dark green pack
What are the side effects of Advocate in dogs?
Occasionally, hair loss may occur at the application site. This is usually a single occurrence, and hair will grow back.
How does Advocate work?
Unlike oral treatments (like chewable tablets) that require the medication to be absorbed into your dog’s bloodstream, the active ingredient in Advocate that kills fleas, imidacloprid, spreads through your dog’s lipid (oily/fatty) layer of the skin and fur, killing fleas on contact, so they don’t need to bite your dog to be killed.
Advocate kills which parasites?
Advocate kills adult fleas, flea larvae, heartworm, intestinal worms (roundworms and hookworms [larvae, immature adults and adults] and whipworm), ear mites, sarcoptic mites, demodex mites and lice.
