Types of allergy
What's causing the reaction?
Environmental / Atopic
Pollen, dust mites, mould and grass are common triggers. Symptoms are often seasonal and affect the skin, ears and paws first. Management focuses on reducing exposure and supporting the skin barrier with omega-3 rich nutrition.
Food Allergy / Intolerance
True food allergies cause persistent skin and GI symptoms year-round. A strict hydrolysed or limited-ingredient elimination diet over 8–12 weeks is the only reliable way to identify the trigger protein.
Flea Allergy Dermatitis
The most common skin allergy in pets. A single flea bite can trigger a severe reaction in sensitive animals. Year-round flea prevention is essential — not just when you spot fleas.
