We're working on making a difference within our communities.
We recently partnered with the Underdog project and Dog's Life to make it easier for us to come together and give the gift of
warmth to the superpups living in shelters this rainy season. Our campaign came to an end on 6 June 2021 and we were
blown away by your response!
The Underdog Project is a registered Non-Profit and Public Benefit Organisation that works with vulnerable children and dogs in Cape Town, South Africa. The welfare of children and animals in South Africa are of equal importance to them and they
believe they have found a creative way to provide mutual benefits to both these vulnerable groups.
The programme they have designed is mutually beneficial to two vulnerable groups. At-risk youth from various communities are taught how to train untrained shelter dogs using positive reinforcement dog training techniques. This provides the youth with a multitude of life skills as well as connects with their inherent empathy and teaches them to be kind to animals.
At the same time the dogs receive basic training and have an improved life in the shelter and ultimately get adopted faster into a loving home. With a network of shelters in and around Cape Town, we will work alongside the Underdog
project to collect and distribute blankets to our four legged friends in need this winter.
